So I move onto some deck fittings and whilst fitting my new Silva 103P Racing compass which I got at a snip price($85-00) in the UK whilst over there, the glass just cracks without warning and without apparent reason! I can't take it back obviously! Gutted that I now have a 120 mm hole for a compass I don't have. I carry on regardless and whilst working inside I notice some delaminated glass in the bilge which is splitting and needs some repair having already carried out some bilge repairs and this not being apparent at that point although it is about 1.5m aft of where the first repairs were done.
Less than 4 weeks until surgery and I am desperate to get the main stuff done, prior to the recovery period and shite weather which will prevent any decent repairs being done, but seem to face obstacle after obstacle.
Frustrated to say the least, was hoping to have sailed her prior to winter, but the back and the delays on the refurb have scuppered that hope!
