Momentous day, after close to 8 months of refurbishing the mast was raised today. Wow, what an occasion... seems like the end is near and I'll be sailing soon.
Had 'Junior' running shotgun on the mast just in case.
Edit:
The end of the refurbishment is near and I'll hopefully be out sailing soon. I've been one of the lucky ones because I've not suffered from "refurbishment fatigue". I think the main reason that I've not suffered fatigue is that I used SMART goals to keep me on track.
SMART goals are a fantastic strategy that can be implemented with any worthwhile task.
S - Specific. Be clear and precise with what you want to achieve, identify a task you want to work on and focus on that.
M- Measurable: Have a means of measuring how your going kind of like 'way points'
A- Achievable: Is the work you want to do appropriate to your skill level, thus can you meet the specific tasks you set.
R - Relevant: Is the task worthwhile to the outcome you want.
T- Timely: What time frame have you set.

Enjoy the fruits of your labours Pete. And thanks for your detailed log of restoration. As we all like to see new life breathed into these great "old" boats your posts are a good blueprint for those wanting to do the same.
Remember take it easy pick a quiet day for launch and enjoy.

Hi Cruiserpete, what sort of trailer is that? the boat sits nice and low.
Mine is a flatbed which has boat sitting very high on rollers and a pain to launch

Not sure but I'll have a look and take photos. I've moved the boat so next chance this coming weekend I'll have a look.sol invictus wrote:Hi Cruiserpete, what sort of trailer is that? the boat sits nice and low.
