Hi from the Whitsundays.

We launched at Airlie last Friday and the weather has been spectacular. Berthed at Hamilton tonight for R & R and off to Whitehaven in the morning. Forecast for the next few days is excellent, light S to S/W in the morning and afternoon N/E seabreeze.

Stopped off at the Hook Island resort (near the underwater observatory) and did a little snorkelling. Not bad coral and quite a few fish.

Bob that looks bloody good. Right now at Lake Mac its 15degrees Ive just put my last piece of wood on the fire before crawling under the doona.

I did a snorkelling tour onto Hook Reef in 1991, still look at the pics in wonder . Have a safe journey keep up the pics

We are back from the Whitsundays. Great trip. 15 nights on the boat. Weather absolutely perfect for the first half, although not much wind for sailing. Bit blowy at times in the second half but still good. Got a bit wet a couple of times in rough going but the Investigator handles it fine.

I exported the GPS (Mapsource) tracks into Google Earth. Each colour represents a day.

If anybody wants to know more, very happy to share our experience.

I think I saw you on the road as I was heading north to a conference in Maryborough. Sat 11th. I was in the back seat and only got a glimpse.

Sat 11th that would have been us on the way back from Rocky.

Sunday 26th with the Careels, think I can make it. I'll check with the boss to see if I have any prior engagements.
