Hi Ray,

I was going to ask about a 'flagship photo', or maybe a collage of best pics for the header. I like your suggestion if Ian is keen.

But for now I was chasing a pic of the actual logo - the circle with the bits sticking out and the capital I in the centre.

Geoff this thread has good close renders of all the livery including the porthole logo and stylised name . Should be ok as resolution is good. These were expertly done by geoffr.

I also have the oil painting of my 563 on the mooring that my wife gave me for our anniversary you would be welcome to use a section of that image for any part of the splash page for the site if suitable. Cheers

I have changed a setting that should improve the Search function.

Previously, when I did a search, it would often tell me the search term was too common, even though it was about something I thought was fairly specific.

Hopefully now it will return results when it didn't before. Works for me, so give it a go. If it is still problematic, let me know, as it is something that can be tweaked further.

Great to see new members and the new forum layout working so well. Thanks Geoff for setting up and smoothing it all out.

It’s times like these that forums, in all hobbies, will help keep people sane. :D

Mostly

Oh... happy Easter to all 🐣

Hey Ozzie,

No worries mate. Happy it seems to be working ok.

Ray is going to be setting up a sticky page soon with all the old reviews of the 563, that can be added to by anyone who has them.

As a new boatie, I have learned so much from going through posts, especially where people have showcased and discussed the little mods they have made. I have made a few changes to mine for functionality, based on what I have read others have done.

It's great that with so many things there is no real right or wrong, just preferences, and different owners make mods to suit themselves that others wouldn't. Anyway, they are the sort of things I like to read about in the forum, gets me thinking and gives me the courage to make changes too.

Also , absolutely champion job with the magazine articles Ray. It’s great reading these again. It was the Geocities site one that was my introduction to the 563 and there was a post back on Ian B’s original MSN SITE about it. That was a clipping from a newspaper about the guy that started that site. He had moved to Tasmania and taken his boat with him from memory. I may , may even have a screenshot of that article. If so it will be on an old backup CD or even floppy( yes I have a USB floppy reader for just such occasions :D ) and I I’ll post it.

I thought I’d put this thank you here rather than clutter up the magazine thread with it.

Cheers all. New site’s choofing along nicely. Tell us all what top notch mods your making to your boat during the lockdown. Jacuzzi, screen room, plumbed in BBQ 8-)

Emrys, where are you I want to see your gun rack style mounting for twin Aldi Cree Torches
