On the lake and passing the sand bar near Pelican Airstrip. Standing room only. Incongruous that the poem I always recite on this day was written by a bunch of English comedians.

“This is the wattle it’s the emblem of our land, you can stick it in a bottle you can hold it in your hand. Australia, Australia, Australia we love you. “
