Aldi ladders again next saturday

Post by snoopebj »

Hi all
On sale at Aldis this Saturday May 27th
Sounding like a cracked record again but I cant praise these ladders enough.
Both for rigging my boat in the car park and using as a mast lever to raise and lower the mast safely with a pulley system Super stable and light.

Oh and also used it recently for its intended purpose as a painting scaffold. Brilliant.
Sorry for banging on about this product but if Ozzie is allowed to with his Aldi Cree torch then so can I.

btw they are bloody good torches but dont tell Ozzie that.

   Cree torches are on again next week Emrys but I thought I better give it a rest

Actually it's funny about Aldi and market forces. I remember going there the first time they did snow gear on a Saturday morning to get some thermal boots ( just to keep warm...I'm too unco for skiing) and the place was like the Brixton riots. Furthermore it was picked clean by 9 am. Last Saturday was annual snow gear weekend again but we traipsed in on Sunday arvo late for groceries and there was tons and tons of snow gear left over.

So clearly there's only so many times punters are going ape$#|+ for such stuff , I suppose it lasts quite a few years. Even the once precious and unobtainable compact cooking sets of tsp legend were still in abundance from "camping week" a month or so ago.

Speaking of Aldi I was driving home through the suburbs after checking out something for sale on gumtree when I stopped to check out a pile of upmarket junk in a council throw out. Bugger me if a didn't come across a plastic case with what looked like an Aldi ( Taurus ) router in it . Anyway I feel I bit self conscious scrapping through things on the side of the road so I turfed it in the cat and drove off. Forgot about it for the rest of the day figuring it was probably burnt out anyway which is why he'd tossed it . Pulled it out half an hour ago and it's a spiral saw , all attachments and tools, spare brushes and 1 bit and in full working order. Did some research and bunnys sell compatable bits so not bad for free. I understand it works similar to a small router and can be used for carving as well.
