main sails

HI all,
well it time for a new main sail so i got a few quote and yes Dacron was one of them
but well i am going to go with the newer type of sail that right LAMINATED SAILCLOTH
not the black Kevlar but a see through white with a lovely cross pattern . it will make her look so elegant
full batons not half batons as i have now
it will give it a more fuller sail shape . will post as it will take 6 weeks to make

sorry i fell in love with my boat
she calls to me to give her a pretty dress how can i say no !!

Atles, the Investigator was always ahead of its time, most people who see mine who are not sailors think its a younger boat than it is because of its nice lines. The modern style sail will not look out of place.

I get the same comments when I am tied up at our ramp, no one ever thinks its a 30 yr old boat. Of course we care for them in many ways but well worth it. Yes a lovely boat in every way.

my new Quantum main sail is sooo near to being finished

they are not racing sails
but a cross between cruising and racing like i said i needed to keep her looking elegant
so i am keeping with the white sail theme you would see with Dacron

Holey moley that looks awesome! Got me thinking now. Has anyone got the standard main and standard jib dimesions written down or are they recorded somewhere? Time to get some quotes!
