trailer repair

hey to all, my name is rick i have a trailer that needs work, can anyone tell me on how to get the boat off at home safely so i can bring the trailer for repair? :?

Welcome Rick. If you go to the technical section and the post on technical documents there is a link to John Crawford marine . Search and you will find the instructions for launching your boat onto the grass and freeing up the trailer.

I have not done this myself but others have. As an alternative you might want to consider hiring or borrowing a mooring for a few days and just leaving the boat in the water. Could be a lot less hassle.

thanks ozzie, i have read that info about sliding your boat onto the grass, seems risky, the mooring seems safer, the prob my be the trailer my not make it to the water. thanks anyway :|

Another possibility are blocks and tackle and a strong roof. Alternatively, you may have a vehicle hoist you could use. Both methods need good web straps.
