Investigator in Victoria for a sticky beak?

Post by SoloSailor »

Hi everyone,
I am based in Gippsland but visit Melbourne on a regular basis. I am very keen to see an Investigator 'in the flesh' to see if they are as wonderful as what I imagine them to be. If anyone has a boat in Melbourne or eastern Victoria that they would be happy to 'show off', please drop me a line.
Thanks in advance, :-)

Hi Mel:

If you can make it as far as North Geelong one weekend then we have two Investigators in our club's fleet at the GTYC.

We race every second Sunday, with the dates on our website. I can have my boat there for a sail if you wish. Just shoot me a PM.

In the meantime, we're also finalising the NOR for the Queenscliff to Geelong Race, this year on Saturday 27 October from 10am. More details to come.

Cheers,
Geoff

Hi
I often take my investigator to Marley Point near Sale, you are more than welcome to come out for a sail one day! of course as soon as the rain stops falling

We use the Paynesville Motor Cruisers Club (we are members) as a base for our cruising holidays on the the lakes. We'll probably be down that way in the next school holidays if things don't work out with the others.

Hi again Mel (and others):

Just noticed an Investigator for sale in Cooma NSW, on eBay.

It looks to be in fairly good condition, but no mention of sails or motor.

Anyway, check it out if you're keen.

Cheers,
Geoff

Hi Ian:

Here's the link; let me know what you think. (I'm not in the market, but would be keen for your assessment or knowledge of this boat)
