Just love a good (Investigator) mystery, but I think, in this case, that the two names are just a co-incidence.
My listing comes from an 2014 advertisement for this boat. There were other photos in the original ad with the boat rego clearly visible in two of them. The NSW trailer rego is also visible in one of the photos.
I would guess that the seller wanted to add something about Investigator yachts and your blog came up first when he googled it.
I hadn't come across this Investigator before, or since, this one reference. If the ad was false, the images would have come from somewhere else on the web. If you could find them, this would prove your theory.
