Im having a slow day with a crook back. SO , I'll bore you with this stuff.

As I a carry few other marine toys and cant be bothered hoisting them onto roof racks i have done a quick easy conversion to my otherwise idle trailer , which as I'm moored was sitting in the yard for 11 months a year. Everything was free or offcuts I picked up off the council bulk waste including the paint. These are the fruits of being 85% retired and of canny Scottish descent. ;)

Platform is a piece of construction ply being turfed out at the local school , the treated pine 4x2s were roadside rubbish as was the paint and Ive since added marine carpet strips , also roadside...ah the benefits of living in lake Mac. I did buy some stainless screws with countersunk heads to replace the first thing I used in the pics which I had on hand but would not have lasted and were too high for applying the carpet smoothly.

The cross members are bracketed onto the bunks with longlong roof coach bolts and the platform can be lifted off with two people in about two minutes.

I can carry my poly fishing canoe on this and even use the tilt and winch to retrieve if I want to save unpacking it before loading. Also takes a few kayaks and canoes on a big family rowing day.
