I was looking on the net for a Marauder 24 as I know someone who's family is looking at buying one. Thought those new to Investigators may be interested in the pics. This was Kevin Shepard's "other" famous boat he designed before the 563. The similarities are obvious. Like the outboard well. No worse there I guess than on a bracket. This was a fixed keel of course, no TS version.

I note there is another design called a Marauder 27.

No connection to the seller.

Key thing for me with keelboats is whether the ballast is bolted on or internal.

Do they have a bolt on fin?? looks like it. Might not be too bad if you can access the bolts easily.

Thanks for sharing Ozzie.

I was fascinated to note the similarities, and almost wondered where the round mid-cabin portal was!

Am I right in presuming the motor's prop stays submerged (i.e. it can't be raised or lowered)?

Good price for a lot of (good) boat!

Cheers,

i too had a look at one or two of them
but i think if i am going to go to a boat that is staying in the sea and is blue water
then i am only going to look and 30 foot boat and up 24 foot is too small for me
