Why I have an Investigator

Yesterday was just one of those perfect days here in the bay for sailing. 11am launch into 10kt winds which ranged up to about 19kts during the day but were perfect for the Investigator. I had a guest on board, a very experience sailor and friend who has sailed here forever. I basically handed over the helm to him and let him go for it - he pushed Aminee hard and fast the whole day with full sails and we averaged about 5kts most of the time eventually hitting 6kts on our home reach.
It was amazing not to be at the helm but observe this boat perform perfectly for over 5 hrs. We had lumpy seas but we were doing better that some large stink boats out there as they ploughed their way forward at too high a speeds. We had the plus of a pod of humpbacks enter the bay near us and keep us entertained.
All in all this is why I bought this boat and it was a true joy to be out there feeling safe and having so much fun. Again hats off to I563 a terrific yacht.
