investigator 153
hello everyone. i have just purchased a comet 20 because it was ready to sail apart from a clean and refitting the gunnel strip. i have put my investigator project on ebay. it will be sad to see it go but i am struggling to get time to work on it. i would like to continue to be a member even though i won't have the boat any more. maybe i could put investigator decals on the comet.

Project boats do not sell for much. Good opportunity for someone short of cash. However, you may consider hanging on to your Investigator 563 and working on her in the winter months. In the meanwhile why not post the details in our For Sale section? To post a link, open the Ebay page, right click and copy the address (URL) which is in a window, usually at the top somewhere. Then open your post, click edit, and hit paste. The link will then appear in your post.
Then you get this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/trailer-sail ... 1#viTabs_0
Gee I hope the buyer who wants to turn it into a fishing boat does not win!

To anyone viewing with a bung trailer, Brendans trailer looks quite Ok .May be easier to buy a project boat and use the trailer than build a new trailer and definitely cheaper ......you then have a spare boat ...that you could turn into a fishing boat... sorry Ian.
But think about it, if you turned a 563 into a fishing boat , it would be a GOOD fishing boat.
Good cockpit with lockers, good freeboard, sleep in cabin, space for kids, space for portaloo, cockpit rail. There was one set up like this at Valentine but I rarely see it anymore. Better fishing boat than landfill.

Thanks Ozzie.
I used interluxe 2pac.
Was fairly easy to apply with a roller. As always, just about the preparation.

Wow, Ron, great looking paint job. Looks really smooth.
I'm about to paint my own I563 with Hemple's 2 pack.
Was that roller only or did you tip it off with a brush as well...
Can you offer a good quality roller and there are lots and all different, which brand of roller did you use?
Cheers, Pete
