In honour of our new home. I thought I would reveal my boat name, not a new name but the one I bought it with. After a 3 good years with no major mishaps and reading about the superstitions of changing boat names I thought maybe I should stick with the original moniker. The elderly couple I bought it from had no idea of the origin of the name. but I assume they were the second owners.

This is the boat in its revamped livery from last haulout with original name "SPRITZIG II"

If my friends ask Im telling them it was originally owned by a german nudist couple who always sailed "au natural" They wont then ask again

Does anyone know about the boat or its history???

Ozzie
Investigator 563

Spritzig means sparkling, bubbly, as in champagne. A lovely name!

Ozzie. Great name - why would you even consider changing it?

However I am suspicious about the sobriety of Investigator owners.

My boat was called Shiraz (perhaps by the original owner) before being changed to Bender, and now renamed Margarita.
