Bung Holes

Hi again all:

I need to replace the bung plugs in my transom, that let water out of the two rear cockpit lockers.

Does anyone know the original screw thread size for these, as there are imperial and metric variations kicking about.

I think you'll find that there are 2 thread types, not metric and imperial, but square thread and what Whitworths catalogue calls fine thread(a vee thread). Either way they are only $2.75 and $1.99 respectively. I replaced mine completely with the large size "Tenob" bung which is only $6.99 complete and has a 32mm internal flow.
