I found this blog as a link off PBO reader to reader . It has extensive articles in the side menu. Like Andrew’s blog he covers lots of stuff in interesting details.

The section halfway down the page on anchoring and signals vs shouting caught my interest and may be useful to all.

Check the rest of the blog if you have time. I’m about a third of the way through. There is an interesting discussion on desiccating toilets . Never realised such a thing was an option on a boat.

In regards to anchoring and yelling, it’s always a background noise in caravan parks as people reverse vans/trailers/ motorhomes and scream dubious directions  We had a small walkie-talkie to the cb in the motorhome but now just use mobile phones. Mine is Bluetoothed to my hearing aids so my wife has to only tell me quietly that I’ve just run into the powerboard pole  Mobile phones on boat decks… not exactly a good idea.

Anyway, if you find a good sailing blog, post a link.

Thanks for the website ozzie, some interesting reading there.

Haven't had the anchoring problem yet, as solo anchor. and if crewed they steer and im on the foredeck. (Quiet 4 stroke outboard helps!)

As mentioned in the blog, communicate the anchoring plan with crew before doing it is the main thing.

Read the dessicating loo post. Guess any ultra small "composting" toilet is just a dessicator type. Came across one made by Jacoola, at an affordable price, but dont know if its size/height would fit into the I563 forecabin.
