It’s a hard decision when it’s that close. Still it’s a good percentage saving. I have always bought fairly cheap 2nd hand motors that look like they are not too beaten up and then get a full service and fix done. I’ve always come out on top with confidence in my mechanics assessment and service and the cosmetics can usually be touched up.

If I were not mooring I’d definitely go 4stroke and as I’ve mentioned before Yamaha are the preference in Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia where they use them like cars to get about.
