Hello Folks,
I've ordered a Mast Mate "Magic TC" from Dave at Mast Mate. The "TC" stands for "Trolley Car" and it can be seen here:
http://www.mastmate.com.au/new_mastmate2
Trouble is he needs some dimensions from the boat, and i've left her down at the Johnsonville (Vic) boat storage yard (mast-up storage and launch and retrieve service, only $17 per week - it's cool if you like the Gippsland Lakes).
Johnsonville is a 3.5 hour drive from home, so i'm wondering if i can get some help from another Investigator owner.
Here's what he needs:
(Attached - i couldn't figure out how to put the image into the body of the message.)
If there's someone in Melb near-ish to Hoppers Crossing i'd be delighted if i could come over with my tape measure.

OK here you go.(mm)
A 730
B 480
C 570
D 230
E 430
F 1400
G 1680
H 930 cockpit floor to pushpit rail (approx) 200 cabin roof to mast (approx).
My boat is stored without the mast so I could not get accurate H measurements. Anyway each boat will be different depending on how the mast is supported. Figure you can estimate how far above the pushpit your mast would lie and similarly above the roof. My figure of 200 is only approximate.

Alas, Dave needs one more measurement:
Companionway width at the cabintop.
Could i stretch your generosity for one more measurement?

I'm on holiday and found myself trawling through the posts and ran across this one. I bought Pip from Matt a couple of years ago and it came with the Mast Mate.
This is a fantastic device - standing and lowering the mast is ridiculously easy and safe. I hate [de]rigging sailboats and the Mastmate just makes things very stress free.
One piece of advice would be to empty and load the boat of your gear while the mast is up. No problem for me I have a ute and prefer to carry the weight in the car when towing.
Getting in and out of the cabin when the mast is in the trailering position can be a tight squeeze. What you can do is lift the mast mate and mast up to sit on the transom.

Hi Peter,
Would it be possible to post a photo or 2 of your mast mate in action.
Thanks
Larry

Larry,
I have taken photographs but they are too big to up load. They are on my facebook page or I could email them to you.
