As to vee berth. I ave not slept on board, as yet. But I have laid down in the vee berth, and I have found there is room for my wife as well, Now it probably depends on the size of the 2 adults to sleep there. I am only 5' 10" tall and my wife is only 5'3" tall, so we would not have a problem. I did find that it is a struggle to have head in the bow, it is easier to have feet up in the bow, and less claustrophobic.
But I have read now, where sailors are using the vee berth as storage and using the quarter berths for sleeping. Especially if you have a lot of shit to store for extended cruises, as this gets the weight further forward into the boat, and helps in distributing the load.
It will be interesting to read other people's thoughts, on this matter.

From memory the v berth is a little less 1800 long not sure of the width. That is pretty tight considering a standard double bed is 1380 x 1880. Most folk have a queen these days which is 1530 x 2030. Jumping from a queen bed into the V berth may seem a bit confining
The quarter berths are 1800 x 660 at their widest but that’s at the under cockpit end. As my shoulders are wider than my feet
I sleep with my head at that end as I have no problems at all with claustrophobia but that may not be the same for everyone. The thing that screws up sleeping in boats/ vans/ motorhomes and the like is the boundary wall that seems to make the space more restrictive than normal beds.
Beds are funny, our family traveled Aus extensively in the 90s mainly in a VW Kombi with my kids in the pop top and my wife and I who are basically the same height as mr and mrs David on the fold down rear seat bed. Our longest trip was 19,000km over three months and in a bed roughly the size of a king single. Stuffed in sleeping bags to boot. Didn’t sleep a wink for three nights but after that slept like a log. Get tired enough and you’ll sleep on an ants nest made with broken glass.

Would some kind soul with a tape measure mind listing the dimensions of the v berth for Franklin and future reference on this thread. I’m moored so not handy. Also the quarter berth dimensions I quoted were off my extra foam mattress topper and may be a bit off ..so confirmation would be good .
I think the berth dimensions may be on here somewhere ....probably in a thread about servicing the water pump in a 5hp Mariner
