Anyone after a project

This one is being advertised on Yachthub at the moment. https://yachthub.com/list/yachts-for-sa ... 563/247554
The seller has more pics of the trailer than the boat. Easy to see where the money went.

It's hard to say if we have seen this Victorian boat before due to its stripped down state. In any case, I think the $6K asking price might be a tad high as there is still a lot of work before she slips off that pristine trailer.

by no way
Seems like its only labour to spend - fortnight of hard work - the biggest job being the new toe rails. Downside is 2hp motor.

Wow. I wouldn’t dispute the $16k spent claim, a lot of nice stuff. It would certainly shape up into a very nice boat for someone who is handy and as stated it’s only labour. Given the cost of two packing a complete boat and a new trailer it’s really not a big price IMHO I note the opening statement regarding changes in financial circumstances. Sadly the covid19 fallout is probably about to start and you will be seeing a lot of this kind of stuff. Not just Investigators or boats unfortunately . I wish the seller well.

Someone from Buderim Qld has paid a deposit.

Its former name was Sol Invictus, that boat is known in the forum.

I couldn't see Sol's sail number in Ray's database. The ad says hull number 94, but it has the single hinge front hatch, so I don't think that computes?

As it turns out, the elderly gentleman from Queensland changed his mind this morning citing costs of insurance and storage until he could have retrieved the boat to Queensland following the border closure. So it is now on the market again and I have repaid his deposit.

Number #94 would still have had the single hatch so that sounds about right. The 2 hinge design came in around number #110 or so.

Ah, there you go. Thanks Ray, I thought I read in one of our topics that the 2 hinge mod came in about #55.

But you know what thought did

Thanks David. I probably should have said that the 2 hinge design came in around #107.
#108 Private Eye has 2 hinges and #106 Restless (of Calm video fame) has one hinge.
# 107 Mishka has an unknown number of hinges.

Regarding Sol Invictus, this boat was previously called "knot-af-urry" back in 2007. This is what she looked liked then:
