The Investigator 563 made quite an impact within the trailer sailor faturnity when it first went on sale back in 1975. At that time, the market was crowded with numerous trailable designs. Despite the competition, the Investigator soon established its niche through good design and favourable reviews. This topic aims to bring together as many of these magazine reviews as possible in one place for the enjoyment of past, present and future owners. I will post a number of articles to start off the collection. If you have others lurking on your hard drive, please add them to this library.

This was one of the earlier reviews of the Investigator written by Geoff Toghill circa 1977.

There used to be an Investigator web site on Geocities. This review was posted there. I believe that it was originally published in the Cruising Yachtsman magazine.

The December 1981 edition of Australian Boating had a special feature called Trailer-Sailer Shakedown. It reviewed five trailer sailers including the Investigator. The reviewed boat was number #59 Beagle. I wonder where she ended up.

There were upwards of 120 Investigators sold in the ten years prior to when this test appeared.
