I would just be happy to get constant supply of the low speed rate we pay for . Since last visiting this post we have had two major drop outs with no service for hours at a time.
Last week we had the conversion of our home phone line to the Nbn fibre . When Telstra rang to arange the change I queried it based on my misgivings over the Internet supply. He pointed out it was optional to change but if it did it now it was free....if I waited till it was compulsory ...$3000. Ok nothing like options eh?

Last funny on communications. Last week I was at a local Westfield shopping centre and was meeting my daughter for lunch. The charger in my car had gone to god and my mobile was going flat. No problem , I thought I'll just ring her from a public phone in the centre. Now I then realized I didn't know where there was a public phone .....tried the taxi rank...no ... The food Hall..... Went to the information desk and was told by the girl there is none , zilch , zero . She kindly allowed me to use the desk phone but I was mildly shocked to think that in a shopping centre half a suburb wide there is no public phone.
I'm getting on . Technology like old age has crept up on me and I didn't even notice . On the way home I stopped nearby for fuel and out of curiosity I asked the consol operator in the servo if they had a red phone.
"not for years sir"
