Emrys try sleeving your stay adjusters with clear tube or cheaper still flexible caravan drain hose, as I use. It helps to keep them aligned when the mast is taken down / raised. Added advantage is it stops ropes, sails , clothes and body parts getting caught on them

Sorry, my rigging screws were from Bias boating, not the Whitworths ones as in the link. Used Ronstan 8mm u-bolts to replace old ones.
