Slide out Galley etc

Post by Elandra »

Hi, does anyone have any details of the slide out sink and stove which I believe was an option in some of these boats. I have looked for photos but nothing much comes up and there are no details about their fixings, tracks and how they operate. I would like to simply install 2 slide out tables under the cockpit seats so I have the option of using them for cooking, food prep, chart layout etc when the pop top is up. A simple slide out table should still allow room underneath for a bunk.

regards

Hi Andrew. You raise an interesting point. There has been much mentioned about the slide out stove/sink options on the original investigator blurbs and it’s even on the line diagram that appears on Crawfords, but, I don’t think we’ve ever had one talked of or shown on this site. Or from memory the previous MSN site.

The best example was Ian Bs set up which Geoff now has and has discussed on here . Only issue he mentioned was the depth of the Origo stove which he removes for sleeping .

The green shed has a variety of draw slides

The hassle would be where to fit them. They’d need dome head stainless bolts down from the cockpit seats I guess to hold a timber frame to mount the slides. I had similar issues fitting my side shelves and had to make an adapter to use the existing taffrail bolts. If you search Geoff’s posts on stoves I think he detailed his setup.
