Re: Insurance
Ah yes. I have been considering looking for a swing mooring here. But I won’t pursue that one anymore.

Once again PBO British site but can’t be long till Aussie insurance companies get on board.
Forget about tech giants running the world. It will only be if they can afford the insurance.

Re: Insurance

.In the light of all this I have decided to stick with my original FLA set-up - I would imagine the cost of a professional install would be too cost prohibitive for me ( a poor pensioner)
Also this bit.
Read in conjunction with my neighbours problems with diy anti fouling in marinas it seems insurance will ultimately be the arbiter of everything we do with our boats. I was born 50 years too late to avoid this crepe. As a kid I remember moored boats at the lake being a few railway tracks belted into the sand in the local inlet, pick your spot and go for it. This was the years BC.I have just checked their website again and it is obvious that their view on retrofitted (ie DIY) installations by boat owners has changed to our disadvantage.
Note: I may be offering for sale at advantageous prices various (quality) parts from my aborted LiFePo4 install in the near future - watch this space.
Ah well, it was a fun learning experience.
Before Copies in triplicate.
Rant over

Re: Insurance
Thanks mate for the update . I would be happy with 3rd party, which is what I cut back to before going to Anchorage. I keep my boat to a high standard of maintenance and have had the mooring serviced annually even before it became mandatory so I’m not worried too much about me causing damage to myself. It’s only running into a floating gin palace returning to the mooring at night after New Year’s Eve fireworks that concerns me
. Also, all the items worth pinching on Spritzig come home in my tender. Should buy shares in the company. They may be the only game in town soon for half a million moored boats!!!
Anyone who was considering mooring….you’re back in the game.
