Keeley marine no longer - mast step

Post by Watto »

Just saw on fb that keeley marine are finished. They set the mast fittings that the investigator use.

Someone is selling their inventory, if you have some spare coin it’s worth trying to pickup what you or others may need in the future.

Wow. Thanks for that update Luke. I guess things become obsolete in time . Everything is based on supply and demand. Fortunately the fittings are not so complicated that they can’t be replicated in some form but obviously at a cost. I was lucky I bought the plug/base combination years ago when I broke the base and then had the plug in reserve when it was damaged.

My friend had the mast base for his court750 made up locally at reasonable cost from stainless and though not an exact replica of the cast one it did the job fine. Ultimately we may have 3D printed replicas if the materials used are strong enough to do the job. I think I may work up some in-line stays for mast raising now that mast fittings are going to be more precious.
