Re: Replace hand rail on cabin top?
Not sure exactly what Dia mine were, what I did was to take the measurement between both side edges of one of the hand rail supports and used that. It turned out a bit larger than I wanted as the router bit I was able to purchase was 9.5 mm and not 1/2 inch as I wanted so they ended up a sort of square shape with rounded corners. It was quite a lot of sanding etc to get them actually round. Once round, they fitted so I did not bother worrying about what actual size they ended up. Towards each end, I just shaped them to be eye sweet where the end of the timber had to match the top shape of the mounting pod. I am very happy with the result even though they are probably a little bigger in diameter for the main length of them and slightly less at each end. I like that they ended up being bespoke, being hand made and hand fitted, but that's jut me I guess. Cheers

Thanks Ian. That certainly gives members replacing rails all the options. Poly is obviously not cheap but after two poly boats now I can vouch for its strength and longevity.
