Hello again,
I know I have seen pictures of window cleaning buckets with a timber platform/guide accessible from in the cabin under the cockpit. I bought the buckets but now I can't find the pictures with the clever mounting arrangements so I can steal your good ideas. Can anyone point me to some good images of your or others solutions?
Cheers, Ian

Flat aluminium bar on each side to create a a3 deep drawer. My mrs hates them and need to come up with a better solution.

These images are from Emrys but I can't see what makes them slide in and out without falling into the recess in the middle.

Re: Storage buckets under cockpit
Hi guys
I suspect bilge floors under the cockpit vary from boat to boat.I also have same amount of buckets on either side and pull out one side at a time so they don’t fall into the middle gap. Also the alloy handle clasps connecting the buckets I made all those years ago fiddly and not the best. I still use them but re-usable cable ties (now in Aldis I notice) probably a better idea.
All a work in progress and love to hear other peoples ideas.

Re: Storage buckets under cockpit
This is how Ian had them set up on my boat when I bought it. The timber platform is very light and simple, all pine. The 2 long bits are only 10 mm thick and about 100mm wide. The 2 crosspieces about 12mm thick. A few screws and Robert's your mother's brother.
He had 2 rows of buckets but I took one out and use the other side for long things - whisker pole and sometimes the boom wrapped in a $2 blue tarp.

Re: Storage buckets under cockpit
Well I thought I had this all worked out but I ran out of headroom for the last of three buckets... Back to the drawing board.

Hey Ian,
How many buckets are you running in each side, just 3?

Just 3 up one side. Long things (boat hook, spinnaker pole, boom tent) go down the other side.
