1Sundiver Video Sailing Bowen to Nellie Bay.

Post by Yara50 »

New videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5YY2M ... Fxs7nVzsaw

Hopefully 1 Sundiver will reveal if he is one of our esteemed group.
You need a good stomach to watch the videos, as he is using what looks like a headmount for the camera. That results in the images whizzing round at high speed, and very jerky. The shots from his cabin mount are better.

BTW, Sundiver, check out our threads on launching, and you will find it a lot easier. You will also find life easier if you have a topping lift on the boom, and a boom vang for performance.

Looks like in general there is a quite a bit of video on I 563s out there. Good stuff!

I also usually start with the main, and briefly luff up to hoist the jib. However, if you have plenty of sea room, you can hoist the jib and then heave-to, so that the jib shelters the main, and you can take your time hoisting it. Also a good opportunity to fiddle with the main luff tension, vang, outhaul, etc.
