BUMP.

After referencing this in a previous post I thought I’d bump it as it has quite a few good links if they are still up. I’m not much for tv these days other than the ABC news and that’s too depressing to watch for long  . So anyway if you have some good sailing links, yours, theirs, instructional or just fun share them. Never a better time than a lockdown to catch up on ya sailing vids

This is probably soooo basic for experienced sailors, but I found it very reassuring when you haven't developed any automatic awareness and response behaviours. When you are plodding through memory steps and panic hits. Like me!

If you wanna see extreme conditions for testing boats albeit power boats anything by "Frankwildcat" on Youtube. The website for Sampson Boat Company shows old fashioned boat building and is a series on the ongoing rebuild of a old yacht. Off Center Harbor is great for wooden boat stuff and although a membership site they are doing a cheap deal for 2 months m/ship while the Virus is on. There's enough in that lot to keep you in front of the screen for ages. Oh! and Distant Shores has got 20 years of around Europe, Med US, and Caribbean sailing travelogue.

Just a nice vid with a bit of basic philosophy on sailing for the experiences it gives you. This is Britain but I’m sure Investigator owners would find common ground with Roger. When he knocks yachts I don’t think he has our style of yachts in mind. If not for covid we would be in the back blocks of England and Scotland right now after visiting our daughter. We had a few river day trips booked , notably the Falkirk wheel on the Clyde Canal in Scotland . Look it up. Have spent much of the last few months haggling refunds, mostly successfully.

His organisation is great.

He has a series of these videos. I’ve watched a couple and recommend them.

For much the same reason I thought this thread also deserved a sticky as it has gotten lost a bit. I promise nothing on navy tugs.

The bump stopping the boat is a good one for crew to watch .
