I did wonder if sailing counted as exercise. I didn't want to be the one to push the envelope, but there it is in blue and white.

On my walk yesterday the car park at the boat ramp at Valentine was full of trailers with one boat going out and one going in. These had one fisho in each. Given golf is allowed I think this kind of boating is fairly innocuous. Maybe a different situation over Easter when ramps draw larger crowds and people may not act as sensible. We are going to take our little fishing dingy out next week after the peak. Need a boat fix of some sort.

Took my outboard for a service at the local mechanoid last week said he was flat out as everyone was dusting the boat off as it was the only thing you can do . We had a few friends around this weekend for coffee. First people I’ve spoken to live in a month who weren’t Coles checkout operators.

We aren’t going rushing out to indoor dining establishments for a good while yet . Too many people think it’s all over and everything is back to normal. Normally such clowns fly under the radar, but nowadays they can kill you .

Anyway thought this might strike a chord with you all.

Nice job David . Your veggies will be handy when the second wave hits . Seriously I don’t think I may be joking. Our local club wrote to members the other day and said as they have five eating areas they will be having 50 people AT EACH AREA. Seems nuts as with 250 meatheads in the club it will be just as busy as a slow night before COVID.

We won’t be testing the waters for a good while. Just happy to be able to have family and friends over for a bbq. The disease itself has not changed one bit, but everybody seems to think it’s Mardi Gras. Go sailing, safer.

Got crook mid March, so self isolated and very gradually came good at home over several months. Didnt fit the C19 test criterea at the time so who knows. Family and friends fine.

Final tinkering with trailer and the motors serviced, replaced the old fuel etc.

Only 2 officially active C19 cases in qld now, both in sth qld. its been C19 clear in Townsville for way over a month but not taking any chances either, the spread out outdoor lifestyle with 25C days helps.. Boating has been allowed for awhile. Seems that Qlds protective bubble and health policy is working, touch wood. Caravaners are on the roads in force again and shops are open,,

home haircuts, new gardens and house painting in earnest

Good that your ok Andrew. Must have been a trying time. It’s getting too relaxed down here. Bunnings have taken down the cattle crush they had on the entrance to space people out but are still clicking numbers in and out at peak times. On the other hand we were standing behind the marked line waiting for an available checkout at an unnamed supermarket last week and the konga line of dim bulbs behind us were all leaning over each other’s shoulders...including ours... der... some people still have not worked out that the virus has not changed just the number of beds to treat you has

As I said before, relying on joe average to do the right thing is fraught with problems. School holidays now, so..... the only safe place is out on your boat.

You’re right Ozzie we have govt support here and those poor people have none.Been over there and witnessed hospitality and kindness that amazed me. They have little to nothing but share everything.
To David in Tassie. If things hit the fan here in Wollongong NSW mate This mainlander is going to sail his Investigator down there to his favourite part of Oz Wineglass bay in Freycinet Pen. and camp out in Coles bay so you’d better get ready and get your cannons out
