Re: Cockpit locker seals
Hi Ian. No mate I couldn't find anything that actually fitted or worked so I ended up using the same white trim that goes around the raisable roof opening. It's just a trim and it does not seal very well but it does look ok and it is excellent to get the locker lid to sit at the correct height. It d...

Re: Hawkesbury and tiller pilot
Hi Ian, yes good thought, however I reckon I will have the autohelm hooked up all the time, so I figure fitting the plug on the inside of the combing directly under the ST1000. That way it would only be uncomfortable when the thing was not fitted. Will probably make the final decission once I have t...

Re: Hawkesbury and tiller pilot
Hi all, I also purchased an ST1000 for mine. It will also be mounted on the top pf the combing., I worked out that they did not make a shaft extension long enough, so purchased their longest one which I think is 6 inches. I will also cut this into two and turn up a piece in the lathe to extend it to...

Re: Launching 563
Hi Paddy, when I launch or retrieve, I always use the tilt as well as my Draw bar extension. I only have to enter the water to just above the axle for launch using these aids, but I always submerge a little more on retrieve as this then reduces the need for winching, even though that is not too much...

Re: Merry Xmas 2023
Merry Christmas one and all. Hope to get on the water if this rotten wind will die down a bit, even if it’s only to give the new fishing rods their first run.
Cheers

Launch Day
Finally ! I thought it would take 6 months and the big launch day came today after only three and a half years of hard work. WOO HOO. Now, to start sorting out the rigging. As you can see in the second photo, I needed to use my tow bar extension as well as the tilt function of the trailer, even thou...
