Re: Investigator wanted?
The seller ended the auction last night. Looks like he had a buyer for Rex (or a change of mind). Did you get it Chief?

Re: Bargain Investigator 563 NSW South Coast
Looks to be a bargain. The boat is number 105 and her name is Rex.

Re: 1987 Cruising Helmsman mag Investigator yacht ad
I found the same advertisement in a book of boat tests from 1985. Of interest, the price of the Investigator was the same as the 1987 price, but there were substantial increases in the costs of the other models during those two years. Re: 1987 Cruising Helmsman mag Investigator yacht ad
I think that the 1987 date is probably correct. There is an advertisement in the December 1981 edition of Australian Boating that lists the price of an Investigator as $6995 sailaway. $10,000 by 1987 sounds about right.

Re: Posts!
I haven't used my Investigator much in the last few years, but as I have recently retired, I aim to change that. I have started refurbishing the boat and hopefully will be sailing again in a few months. I'll post a few pictures as I go along and probably ask some questions as well. Ray Time Out #39

Re: type of swage sleeve?
TDK,
You list your Investigator sail number as #39. This is the same as my sail number. How did you determine your number? Do you still have the original mainsail?
Regards,
Ray

Re: Investigator number 10
OK Here is my list. These are investigators that have been mentioned on the forum or that I have seen advertised or seen elsewhere. Often, I only have a name and location, sometimes only a location. The list is given, warts and all, and I make no guarantee of how accurate it is, but, all in all, it ...

Re: My Boat's age? Sail # 53
I would estimate that your Investigator was built in 1977 or 1978.
