Re: Outboard information
Yes, it's a sad aspect of our modern society that we even have to consider such things as having our outboards stolen. A friend of mine ran a pub, and he had to stop putting scent blocks in the urinal trough as every night they were stolen 😳. My Tohatsu Sail Pro has been great, a litre per hour at f...

Re: Greetings From Topaz Bill
All good advice David and Ian. The last thing we want is to wish we had secure fittings when we are in a spot of bother. Your comment David about securing anchor is really important for offshore or bar crossing, disaster waiting to happen if it should come free in a knockdown. I'll read your posts a...

Re: Showcase your Investigator
Hello Frenchy ( Fritz and Louren ), a cordial welcome from me too. I usually get to spend a fair bit of time in WA, Bunbury area. The waters around Walpole really appeal to me as a cruising destination, even poking out into the bight. Plenty of shelter and nice scenery. Also Albany, although Queensl...

Re: Heating your boat .
David, we get extremes of weather in FNQ too, I distinctly remember once it got down to 19 degrees and we thought we were all dying of hypothermia.

Yes, Peter, no pressure from me either but I'm, holding my breath until you do the weight check.

Re: Greetings From Topaz Bill
Hello Ian, I keep finding posts that I haven't noticed, me and technology never the twain shall meet.
I'm happy to do a video and try and attach it, there are many opinions on our blog, and most will be better than what I do.
Regards, Bill

Re: Stoves
I'm with you Peter. The simpler the better as far as I'm concerned. David may be a gourmet cook but I'm certainly not, and survive perfectly well with a single burner butane stove for a week at a time. I usually have to use stove inside cabin, even a small amount of wind makes them unusable in cockp...

Re: Stoves
Thanks Franklin, yes a great forum. Dad said " money doesn't make you happy" I don't have any money so I'm very happy. I love the humour behind so many posts and the willingness to help each other. Another freebie that I have available for any forum contributer is an original rudder that a...
