Re: Continuous Line Furlers
 photos please !!! Apologies for taking so long. One photo shows us sailing off the wind in about five knots of wind. The headsail is furled and the code zero is up and flying. The code zero (CZ) furler is at the very front and slightly offset from the jib furler which is closest to us in ...

Re: up coming trips for summer were next are you sailing
Hi all, Everything is just about ready: Sleeping stuff, clothing, galley stuff, fresh fuel and new flares. We are off to Port Phillip Bay for about 10 days from tomorrow. This time, we are going just a little up-market and basing ourselves at Pier 35, a marina, so I anticipate trips ashore and sails...

Re: up coming trips for summer were next are you sailing
The family thing in SA isn't going to happen now, so we have decided to do Port Phillip Bay working from the Pier 35 marina. It will be very different to our usual Gippsland Lakes.Dr. Peter wrote:It might be Goolwa SA for us this year. Never sailed there before.

Re: Continuous Line Furlers
No tensioning required with these. The furling line does not appear to move when unfurling.

Sailing by yourself
Sailing by myself is about to become a reality as the Admiral is beginning to show less enthusiasm for daysailing. I would like to start a thread to learn how you do it in an Investigator 563. Does it impact on when, where, why and how you sail?

Continuous Line Furlers
I just fitted two Ronstan Gennaker 60 series continuous line furlers to Pip. After the sails and motor it has been one of my more expensive acquisitions (a bit over $800 for both including postage etc). I got one unit to deal with the Code Zero sail after all too often being caught with only a half ...

Re: To boldly go where no investigator has gone before
My pop top is bolted down. My front hatch has very thick foam. You have to keep the water out and a laden 563 does not rise well over a steep chop. You will ship the green. You have to keep the water out. I am also concerned about the tiny drain holes. In nicer weather and a following sea I plug min...

Re: Leaking bilge HELP
I go back to my initial post. Check other areas: The pintles, the cockpit drain holes.
