I keep my whisker pole clipped to a hook that I attached to a front stanchion. The pole lays on the deck alongside the gunnel. It's been there for a couple of years and hasn't been a problem. It's in the right vicinity when you need it.

Here's an Investigator that hasn't popped up before.
Asking $6,500 or $7,000. (Advertised twice) Looks OK but no mention of a motor.

This is Sol Invictus, the only Investigator I've seen where the outboard is mounted on the starboard side. Nice restoration. Should ensure a long future for this boat.
