Been thinking about this stuff for under the bunks and vee berth, but I think I'd want to get some down near the stern as well.

Re: Storm Jib
You’re absolutely right Peter. My main interest in that very small jib in the picture (I don’t have one like that) is that with the second reef in the main and my #2 jib in about 18+ knots with both sails as flat as possible, I found a lot of lee helm which is scary in a blow. But you are right that...

Re: Storm Jib
Thanks Peter! The part at 26. minutes into the video I hadn't thought about (always something to learn). The other thing that's not mentioned in the video is asymmetrical the hull shape when heeled which causes the boat to round up. These two things together should compensate for the unbalanced sail...

Plus, it fits nicely up the front edge of the centreboard which is where I found most of the barnacles stopping it from coming down were living. Now ...

Re: Hawkesbury and tiller pilot
Hi Andrew, "glue extra wood block inside coaming for brass bush" I found that the GRP laminate at the top of the coaming was about 1/2" thick (or more) so I just drilled and press-fit the bronze socket fitting with some polyurethane to seal. Not sure if this is best practice but it's ...
