Without wanting to invade anyone's privacy, would it be possible to create a list of members with some basic stuff about their boats (names and sail numbers) and where they sail. Might be interesting and make it easier to contact those in the same vicinity for possible sailing activities.

I would agree Ian if my outfit weighed 1.2 tonnes plus trailer, but it really weighs about 800kg plus maybe 300kg for trailer and gear, so all up about 1100kg. I would still prefer brakes if I could manage to keep them serviceable.

My first post so you should feel honoured!

I have an 8hp Yamaha long shaft which is really good and produces 6 knots flat out or an easy 4-5 knots. I'm sure 4hp would do but the extra helps if there is some wind or wave action.
