<$20 bucks possibly cheaper - a little butane single burner stove from BFC. Brilliant! Want more capacity - buy two. Cook in the cockpit.

Re: refuge cove
We have an awesome purposemade rudder which is balanced. It is longer than the original design rudder and is a naca foil. The foil shape does not cavitate at high speeds. Our original rudder cavitated after about 6 knots. we can also back up on the beach and pull it up out of the water. :geek: Hi R...

Re: Spinnaker costs
Hi Geoff, I have decided to buy and fit a code 0 spinnaker, not standard I know, but sailmaking and sail design has moved on apiece since these boats were first built and, as I'm only interested in cruising my Investigator, who cares about class rules. It cost about me about $1400 from Eastwind Sail...

Re: Condensation in the cabin
Kevin, This reply refers to your 6 May post. What a wonderful little set of links; thank you. I would agree that in forums (especially boatdesign.com) you do get a mix of the sensible and the silly and some people use forums to pontificate (been guilty of that myself), but amongst all the hopefully ...

Re: outboard motors
Trialled the 5hp 2stroke mariner and was quite pleased with it. Note to self and others: When approaching dock engage neutral from forward gear and ensure motor is idling before engaging reverse (to slow down). Use of high revs and shifting straight from forward to reverse will see motor kick up, en...

Re: Condensation in the cabin
Hi Kevwr400,
Thanks for the idea about dehumidifiers. I asked this question on another forum:

We are getting some answers.

Re: Deck wash
Out here in the sticks we live off a rainwater tank and channel water. Water is expensive to buy this way and channel water, well, just don;t go there. Lets just say it has abrasive qualities. I find a visit to the local carwash in town has to suffice.
