Re: Help on fitting a Raymarine AutoHelm ST2000

Hello Ian. Re Autopilot, if you see this post can you check something for me? I have gone to WW to order the Extension for the Autopilot through Raymarine and they say the longest extension they have is 153 mm. Is there any chance that this is the length you have? Thanks John Edit. Did you buy 2 of ...

Investigator For Sale in Victoria but...

Someone has an Investigator 563 For Sale in Victoria on eBay but are they fair-dinkum? I don't know how to create a link to the ad' but have a look at eBay under Trailer Sailer and see what you reckon. I've seen the ad format before, perhaps they've tried to sell it previously?

Re: Help on fitting a Raymarine AutoHelm ST2000

Thanks Ian for that info. Not quite ready for the big voyage yet, I'll pick my weather carefully. Otherwise it's the Wakehurst Parkway voyage. John

Re: Help on fitting a Raymarine AutoHelm ST2000

Thanks Ian, great, a picture paints a thousand words. I'm not too far away from Raymarine either, the measurements will dictate the extensions and accessories I'll require from them.

I'm gearing her up for my big voyage....Sydney to Pittwater!!

By the way Ian, any info on the IYA yet?

Help on fitting a Raymarine AutoHelm ST2000

Hello all, has anyone fitted an Autohelm Raymarine ST1000/ST2000 to your yacht? I've just purchased one from the US and will expect it in a week or two. If anyone has any hints on fitting it or photos I'd appreciate the info. Also conecting it up to a Raymarine chartplotter too so any hints there wo...

Re: Stove fitout

Hi Geoff. There are some photos in the Gallery section on galley fitouts. I ended up buying a portable wooden camp kitchen off eBay. It's made by a chap in Wachope NSW. It cleverly folds out to a combined stove and sink arrangement, a beauty. Use it both inside and out. John.

Re: Retreive-a-mate, highly recommended.

Hi Ian, I'd reversed the trailer down so the water level is just below the trailer bearings, not too deep. Then I climb off the side of the boat about amidships, hang on and step down onto the trailer mud guards. Dart up to the front, grab the hook and winch away. I didn't power load, just kept the ...

Re: Retreive-a-mate, highly recommended.

Hi Geoff, I don't know quite how to download photos yet. Basically I purchased the cheapo version of the Retreive-a-mate, the Chinese knock-off is $140, the ridgie-didge version is $350. Both sold at WW, the expensive one is galvanized and is probably better all round. The device is in two parts, yo...

Retreive-a-mate, highly recommended.

Hello all, I fitted the WW cheapo copy of the Retrieve-a-mate to my trailer and used it thru the week. With a + 10 knot breeze blowing at right angles to the boat and single handed this thing makes loading so much easier. It takes away any apprehension of getting the boat out, especially if your one...
