Battery locations - where is your battery positioned?

Hi all, I'm now up to the final refurbishment stage of wiring my electronics and I'm looking at battery mounting positions. I've decided to go with 2 batteries. 1x 105Ah AGM (main house) and 1x regular marine battery 80Ah (house backup ) with appropriately sized plastic battery boxes. I've invested ...

Core rot under the Sampson Post

Hi all, My refurbishment was going as planned and on track until I went to install a new Sampson post and when I was tightening it down the bow deck area was compressing. Thinking to myself... Hmmm, that's not a good sign I promptly undid the Sampson post, grabbed a hammer and unfortunately, I got a...

Hi all, I'm now on the home straight with my refurbishment with the exterior at least. Since last posting I've: Installed the Tenob outboard bracket, wow, the Tenob is fantastic as it raises and loweres very smoothly and with very little effort but has a firm locking action. It's very heavy duty in ...

New cockpit locker seals, pop-to seals & cabin roof seals.

Decided to replace all of the seals on my I563 simply because they needed replacing. I replaced the coockpit locker/seat with a friction U trim that also had a vertical rubber D seal. The seal http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww181/Cool300zx/I563%20refurbishment/Coachroofandrearwindow7_zpsc4e4f456...

Re: replace Aluminium framed windows with tinted perspex etc

Finally got around to installing the perspex windows. I went with 3M's VHB tape and some silicone to form a sealing bead around the window. My aluminium frames sat flush to the coach-roof so the only modification required was to epoxy fill the old screw holes. http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww18...
