I've been in 2 minds for a few months but the shoulder surgery has made up my mind. She is on Gumtree now and will stay there until sold.... I'm in no hurry and if ...

Mast rivet sizes ?
Hi all, Thought I'd ask if any one knows what size rivets our masts take and/or is there a good way to tell? About to refurbish the mast and would like to know what to get before 'ripping' things out. Want to add a mast head antenna as well as the backup transom mounted antenna, a mast head wind dir...

Quick and simple mast stand for under $20
Hi all, I decided during my lunch break (whilst writing student reports) to knock up a mast stand as I'm sick of stepping over the mast on the garage floor and I also need to add some items to the mast. All up the whole project cost less than $20 4x 1.2m - 70x21mm pine for the side braces $5.66 2x 0...

Re: Looking for a 563
Welcome aboard JAK, everyone over on that "Other" Place keeps saying that the market is depressed and there are bargains to be had floating in your soup if you look. Personally I always suggest people bung a wanted ad on gumtree and see what turns up. I got my Investigator that way and it...

Re: Looking for a 563
I have been investigating (no pun) various trailer sailers and feel that an Investigator 563 is my preferred boat. I am therefore actively looking for a 563. In a perfect world I will find a boat in WA. I have had a look at the one on gumtree but declined. I have seen the boat in Devonport and it s...

Momentous day, mast raised after 8 month refurbishment
Momentous day, after close to 8 months of refurbishing the mast was raised today. Wow, what an occasion... seems like the end is near and I'll be sailing soon. Had 'Junior' running shotgun on the mast just in case. http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww181/Cool300zx/I563%20refurbishment/DSCN6781_zps1...

Mast - how many items do you have hanging off?
Hi all, Just organising the placement of cleats and jammers on my deck and wondered how many items people have hanging off their mast. Looking over my mast I've got: Fractional rig Jib halyard (exits mast base to starboard ) running outside the mast from a simple horn cleat up to the block & swi...
