Andrew,
Thanks heaps for the info and the link. I know I've had mine hit end of travel and start to chatter. I'll be a lot more careful from now on.
I will also read the manual and check the fuse fitted. Rather blow a fuse than burn the guts out of the thing.
Thanks again.

Re: Hawkesbury and tiller pilot
Andrew and Ian, Simply for reference and additional info... The ST1000 on Timeless (Yara) has a 150 mm extension, plus what I assume is the original pin end, totaling nearly 220 mm beyond the stainless shaft. $110 for that little extn piece is pretty rude. The photo shows where Ian B fitted his DC s...

Re: A chat about VHF Radios
Thanks for the description Andrew, I got my VHF license about 18 months ago. But I had to take a different and more expensive path. It was in the Covid days and all face to face had been banned, had to be all online. Plus out here in the sticks we have no 'small local Navigation company' :) . So I u...

Re: WARNING Gumtree Scammers
Be careful of putting too much trust in https:// That prefix means it is a secure connection. It does not mean it’s a safe website. It can still mean a secure connection to a fraudulent website. Very important to check the URL in its entirety. What the scammers do is buy a domain name that might onl...

Re: Lithium Battery Safety
Wow Ozzie that's a bit of a rort. We got solar 5 and 1/2 years ago and thankfully no conditions like that. Ours is mounted on a 40' container in the back yard, so easy to clean with an extendable pole and soft pad. I do it every now and again when I think of it. No, when my wife reminds me. Definite...

I've always thought along the same lines as Peter... that some larger look windows may have been cut to fit the outer moulding. I considered it when I did mine recently but it looked as though the camber would be less conducive to a good seal. I stuck with easy.
