Re: Check your thu-hulls

😂 haha
That CF of 13.42 is taking into account the angle of the dangle is inversely proportional to the throb of the knob when the sun is directly overhead.
TSP would be proud of us. Lots of serious number crunchers there.

Re: Check your thu-hulls

Good luck with that test Andrew😆 I’m not good with maths stats etc but found this info that might mean something. “ Capsize Screening Formula (CSF) : Designed to determine if a boat has blue water capability. The CSF compares beam with displacement since excess beam contributes to capsize and heavy ...

Re: Storage buckets under cockpit

Hi guys I suspect bilge floors under the cockpit vary from boat to boat.I also have same amount of buckets on either side and pull out one side at a time so they don’t fall into the middle gap. Also the alloy handle clasps connecting the buckets I made all those years ago fiddly and not the best. I ...

Re: Check your thu-hulls

I recall a certification test done on the Investigator many years ago where the self-righting and capsize capabilities were actually carried out. I did a check on Ray’s magazine library and John Crawford’s library but no luck. You could do it yourself Ozzie.😲 Tell me how you got on. If we don’t hear...

Re: Check your thu-hulls

Yes Andrew all the through hull fittings on the Investigator seem to be on the lower transom. Wow paddle-wheel log - that’s a piece of 80’s analog nostalgia. Would match my blue tartan upholstery perfectly. Maybe a promising new topic there ? I have sailing books from 70’s and 80’s full of analog ga...

Re: Overnight on port hacking

Port Hacking / South West arm one of my favourite sailing spots around Sydney.
Sounds like a good trip and well done with two girls and partner on board.
Almost after each trip I have a list of broken things to fix or changes to my boat.
A routine part of sailing I guess.

I was wary of practicing my bush carpentry on it. A bit like drawing a moustache on the Mona Lisa. Anyway I ha...

Re: Recent trips in my wonderful Investigator

Holy schemoly Ian dramatic photos.
That would be the flood debris washed down from Windsor and Richmond and the upper Hawkesbury.
Pity those poor people having to start all over again.

Re: Recent trips in my wonderful Investigator

Pity you’re up there in Queensland Geoff. You could come with us on our next outing. The great thing apart from the social aspect is being able to swap info and help each other. Met other t/s people at Brooklyn ramp and the Investigator is always admired and respected many having previously owned on...
