Whisker Pole control lines

https://forums.ybw.com/threads/whisker-pole-control-lines.603410/ I’d be interested in comments on this thread from PBO. I normally only use my whisker pole on the occasional long run down the lake if winds are light and if that’s the case I’m luxuriating on the cabin top with a beer and controlling...

Re: Galley Box

My wife has a silicon tray (quite thin) you can bake on and we have silicon tubes with a slit on the side I bought from I think the reject shop that you bung over the front of your slide out oven shelves to stop you burning yourself on them when hot. So must be tough stuff . Gal sheet would be prett...

Re: Galley Box

Nice job Andrew. Maybe you could use the slide off door for alt purposes too. Silicone heat sheet attached as hot pot rest or thin cutting board attached to surface as cutting board? Keep publishing. The 16 footer dude has a good setup but it’s definitely a single berth arrangement. Would be cramped...

Re: Galley Box

Good to experiment Andrew. Perfect the design and you could market them ! I have my Aldi nesting cookware and washing up stuff in the tub depression under the port quarter berth and my single maxi and coffee/tea/Bonox etc in a plastic Tupperware style box in the v berth area. But you do have to muck...

Re: Where can I buy toerail

Champion job Ian. Proving investigator owners are not quitters 8-) Worth the effort. Toe rail IMHO is a most important safety feature. It makes moving around the boat much safer and sure footed. At heel or level . Black toerail adds 2k to the value of the boat I always say, particularly when matched...

Re: Today at Valentine

True Andrew. There were lots of Herons on the Lake in my younger years. I guess they are still around I just don’t notice. A bit like my ramblings on “built from scratch” control line aircraft. Currently you can get an “off the shelf” drone from Jaycar and be in the air three minutes after arriving ...

Re: USEFUL STUFFS

Tomorrow Aldi have their range of boating/fishing items coming up on their specials list. If you need rope they have PP anchor rope and dock lines. Note PP not PE which is 3 times the price at w2. You pays ya money ya takes ya chances. For an investigator it may be ok. For the W2 money you get 12mm ...

Re: Bunks or rollers

Very nice job mate. With launching I assume you will just lower the rear end as previously discussed.

I removed the duplicate pic with my mods menus . It all makes sense I won’t reorder the rest. Nice tutorial.

Re: Topping lift

I have done similar to what you said Christie, used TL to hold the boom up higher when rigging my shade shelter. My boat came with a dismountable shelter with poles mounted on hinges on the deck. It was ok but unable to be used under sail. Nowadays I tend to put the boom at the top of the mast track...
