Re: Trailer repairs
Thanks for the replies. Yes, too late on the stairs. They're busy rusting away as I type. I gave them a coating of penetrol in the vain hope that might add a few years...

Re: Trailer repairs
Good info. I bought a pair of bearing buddies but they seem to be just marginally oversized for the hubs. They have a fairly thick wall so they can't be force fitted. Any tips for how to achieve an interference fit? I don't have a lathe to bring them down to size. (I think the correct answer is send...

Re: Cabin Heating
Take some photos and start a thread on your trailer repairs Ozzie. I did the wheels/brakes on mine, but the rust is now starting to creep. I am unsure how to stop it.

Re: Insurance
Hi Ozzie, Yes insurance is getting difficult, the premium for my parent's house in Brisbane went up to $10k because the flood map shows a corner of the property 10m below the house floor level got flooded in 1974. The house has been there since 1969 and never flooded, but it's on a steep block above...

Re: Insurance
Thanks Ozzie and Geoff, I suspect that with the survey comes the need for the standing rigging to be less than 10 years old, and so it goes... I'll let you know what NRMA have to say for themselves. Topsail requires survey Club Marine we are unable to offer an insurance policy due to: How the boat i...

Insurance
Strangely, I couldn't find a previous thread so I made a new one. As some of you may know, my boat is on a swing mooring. My current insurer, Topsail, told me I need a survey. This happened with my last insurer before Topsail. I can't afford a survey just for insurance. Can anyone recommend an insur...
