Anchor Hatch

Looking for an Anchor Hatch lid from an Investigator 563. Ripple came with no lid on the hatch, as the previous owner found it a nuisance opening and closing it all the time. Don't really want to have to make a new one.

Re: Original Pinstripes

Thanks Peter,
Will definitely lock this information away. As I have started to scrape away the anti fouling on Ripple I uncovered what I suspect is the original waterline pin striping. They are different to the designs you posted - any thoughts?

Re: Differences between #50 and #111

Fantastic.
Thanks for the summary Geoff. When I clear the clutter, I will check out that all compares to Ripple #47.

Re: I bought 'Missy'

Know the feeling Ray, I checked out Missy before Geoff did, but my wife threatened to leave me if I went ahead, so I had to sit back and watch. All I can say is that I wish Geoff all the best with the cleanup. Windows are on my list too, Mine are all crazed and cracked and I have bought new perspex ...

Re: Toe Rail Repair

Looks good. I have no timber on my gunwales and that will have to be done this winter. I have already worked out how I will do it, but unlike you, no teak, I will be using Spotted Gum.
There are so many jobs I will be undertaking that as I proceed I will set up a blog for people to see.

Re: Stoves

Thanks for that Andrew. I will check it out. Have not had a lot of luck getting Coleman fuel, but was advised to try Bunnings Diggers brand Shellite.

Re: Boat Number 47

Just ordered a couple of second hand sails. A furling headsail, and a flat cut sysmetrical kite that should work well off a bowsprit. In addition, I found a second hand half decent furler, and have done a lot more investigation re a DIY bowsprit. The last item, the bowsprit will have to wait until I...

Re: Boat Number 47

Spot on Ray. It definitely looks like it could have been a single hinge. Changing to a double hinge may explain why the hatch does not open cleanly. Currently when you try and open the hatch it squeaks and the hatch binds on the cabin top. I w.ill probably look at going back to a single hinge or del...
