Re: Second time out

Hi Geoff, Good to see you are enjoying Yara. Boarding from the beach is a simple limbo. Turn your back to the boat, slip under the railing, and lift yourself up onto the deck. The slope of the bow helps the boat slip off the beach when you are at the stern. Hold tight on the tiller and drive off in ...

Site Software Upgrade and Ownership

Geoff O, the new custodian of Yara, has kindly agreed to take over the running of the web site. Not only, he will also be upgrading it to the latest version of the software, so it will make it easier for new members to join.

So hang on to your hats, the new look is coming!!!
Cheers Ian B

Re: New member to forum.

Minor detail Dave, don't think there was a 601. Highest number was around 160. However, if you have two hinges on the fore-hatch, it will be one of the later ones.

Re: New member to forum.

Welcome David. Looks like you got yourself a nice boat.
Hopefully our member Ozzie will be along shortly to give you the waterline info, as his boat is on a mooring.

Yara is sold to our new members Geoff and Sue from Monto in Central Queensland. I wish them a safe trip home and much enjoyment from a lovely boat.

Yara seeks new custodian

After more than 13 years in my care, it is time to pass Yara to a new custodian. Thought I would provide our members with the first option before going to the market. I am still working on a description of all her charms, but there are so many, it is a long list. Also have just given the Mariner 5hp...

Re: Trailer Guide rollers

Only problem I can see Ray, is some nasty sharp edges that you can hit with the boat, (or shins, Ouch!) if things go wrong. Usually this bit is underwater if you tilt the trailer, so not that easy to see.

Re: Trailer Guide rollers

The rollers are bolted on by U shaped brackets. These were standard some time ago. You can see the vertical clamping bolts across the end of the U in the photo.
