Re: Cavities inside keel and around bilge areas.

I know what you mean about the Kombi, my brothers one ($2K off an old lady), a touch earlier than yours (late 80's) could hardly make it over the West gate bridge here in Melb. Which you had to use when surfing the west coast. That bridge ended up being it's demise with it's next owner. A great camp...

Re: Cavities inside keel and around bilge areas.

The floor is a complete hack job, but I love the access. This doesn't faze me I plan to neaten support and cover anyway. Re the photos, if I cropped and added one at a time it worked. The square hatch is where I took the forward bilge shot, you can see the shimmer if water at the base. I removed a l...

Re: Cavities inside keel and around bilge areas.

Hello my new friends, I've been researching and procrastinating about my boats bilge after picking, scraping and pulling off loose paint and silicon around the forward, middle and Keel bilges. The bottom corner of my forward bilge has a PVC or possibly aluminum plate silicone'd in up against the lea...

Re: $6000 Aspendale Gardens Vic

Thanks Raya, Doesn't look like the boat has changed much since then. Only a little more deterioration. Just like me.
If no one objects, I'll use #20 and hopefully prove it to be correct.

Re: The List

Thanks Geoff, unfortunately no, the jib had some stickers removed. Scrapping off the tacky adhesive was my first mission. The main has a capital letter I, incapsulated in what looks to be like a porthole with a couple of hinges. Any relation to Investigator symbol? But no numbers.

Re: The List

G'day all, Windsong is now a Victorian with Reg MC815. I can see it's previous Reg was ADH74N. I'll be keen to discover more of it's history, and boat number too if anyone knows! Only other info I have, is that it's dated 1977 and the Vin# is : A-WWA117571BJ2. Only one hinge on the forward hatch, so...

Re: $6000 Aspendale Gardens Vic

G'day all,
I'm the new proud owner of this vessel and have just recently registered to this Forum.
I'll have lots of work to do on it, so I'll be seeking advice.

Thanks in advance.
Clav.
